Very Toxic foods

Obviously I don't want anything near my bird baby that could be bad for him. I've seen the list of foods to not share with your bird (onions, avocado, coffee, etc) but is that a list of foods/things that are like sprint-across-the-room bad if he takes a bite? Like, go-immediately-to-the-vet bad? Or is that a shorter list? Does anyone know? Just a question for my curiosity.

There are many common houseplants that are toxic and household cleaners, candles, fresheners, hot Teflon etc. To watch out for in addition to toxic foods.

Yes, thank you! We're able to keep those away, I'm mostly worried if he happens to take a bite of something on my plate when I'm not looking kind of thing...

I can't think of anything outside of the ones you mentioned that are concerning. That said, a cooked onion bite for example would not induce a major issue. Some people thing that asparagus is dangerous, but that one is safe. I feed mine tons fresh from the garden and they love chewing the stalks also.

One toxin I recently learned about that hadn't crossed my mind before is chewing paint from pre 1970... lead will kill them. This includes a painting on a wall that isn't covered by glass.
