Bedding?

Hi all! Question.... is it ok to use micro-shredded paper (from shredding mail, paper, etc.) for bedding in the cage? I don’t want to encourage nesting behavior, but it would make a nice source of free bedding! Thanks!

I think that would make seeing any change in droppings a challenge.
Maybe offer it in a small foraging box in the cage?

I wouldn't use shredded paper with a female. Though there are rules against the types of dyes used in newspapers now, the same rules don't apply for printed stuff. A handful of shavings under the popular poop places will help with any wetness and be less likely to trigger. I like Tractor Supply Large White Flake as it is less dusty.
