Adorable!!! Looks dark green or olive. Bit more feathers and we can tell for sure. Looks about 3 weeks here, and the parents plucked the rump, so I would pull this baby to hand feed at this point so they don't go after the pin feathers, as they can fail to thrive if they have to regrow a set very young. How exciting! Will the breeder send updated pictures so that you can share them and we can be excited along with you? I haven't bought a new bird in years.... I miss that excitement!

Yep, s/he was pulled at two weeks :)
One of a clutch of three, so s/he has some company.
I think dark green as well. Looking to get him/her a blue friend in the future :)

will post updated pics for sure!

Exciting news! It is nice when their are others in the clutch... really helps with the adventerous side of trying new foods. Ask the breeder to work with red, orange and yellow veggies most (highest in Vit A) as those are the ones you would focus on throughout life. A half a grape, pomegranate and apple are really only for treats (their favs!). Is your bird being shipped or are you local?

Local, about an hour away.
Breeder is enamored with a varied daily chop and sprouting just about everything

Baby Linnie faces are just the best, and their noises. If you haven't heard hungry baby linnie noises yet, do yourself a favor and look it up. (Or maybe someone here has a share of it)

Adorable! It isn't a good idea to mix birds of different species and clutches in one brooder. Disease can be a concern (since few breeders disease test everything), and they also bring a new biome into contact with the other babies with really immature (and therefore weak) immune systems. The scarlet is quite a bit older and is likely flapping (as it is fledging age) and disturbing the other residents. Likely won't be an issue, but since I always try to point out best practices, I figured it was worth a mention in case someone reading this one day wants to breed.

Fun you are getting lots of pics, it is only few times in one's life we get to go through the experience of getting a new pet. It is great to share the growth to make your clients have the most exiting experience you can offer.

Yes, greywing. SF - male. Sibling in the background also looks sf gw. GW really need protein in the growth phase, the feather structure naturally is weak, but a bump in protein can really help.
