    Recall Training

I agree, Linnies aren't the easiest to flight train. The fact that they can be clumsy with their feet which makes stepping up cleanly a little tricky for them I don't think helps. That said... a quick flight to the shoulder when you open the door, that can feel "flight trained" ha ha

    Hand Feeding Formula?

We used to use Kaytee, but I found it too grainy. Especially in very young babies, that was worrisome. Once I got a few grains in an eye. I did find it to get into the feathers and turn to concrete if you missed a spot cleaning up. That said, I always had good growth on it. I then tried Higgins...

    Toys are scary?

The type of toy can help. I find spiral straws and busy bead sort of ones that are not too large, most popular. I agree playstands can be tough to keep Linnie's on if not clipped heavily as a shoulder is a much better spot! A foraging box like Srirachasehawk mentioned may be a good option. How...

    Welcoming Home Leafshine the Linnie

She is a Mauve. And gosh she was such a love bug it was hard to see her go. I am good at distancing my feelings usually, but that one got me!

Hand feeding vs parent feeding vs coparenting

The turquoise and cobalt are sf greywing hens. The other two do look like males to me, and you are correct.... appears to be a normal and an olive (dd). Congrats!

    Feathers?

I wrote a lovely lengthy reply and must have failed to hit reply last week. I was asking a couple of questions as molting is very unusual in this species at this age. Head pins - is someone giving "scritches"? Sometimes with human fingers we accidently knock out head feathers that need to be...

help with excessive vocalization and aggression

Sometimes the behavior is that they see the other person as competition for their "mate", or other times it can be they want them to be theirs. I do think a same sex buddy would curb this if it continues. Hang in there, I know it can be really hard if they are being noisy.

Hand feeding vs parent feeding vs coparenting

Great pictures! Sorry for the struggles with that one. In this picture I am not sold its a girl, it could be sf gw male. Color on the head looks a bit bright to be a df (looking) hen, but too early to tell for sure. Hold off on telling prospective homes the sexes on the gw yet would be my...

    Neelu is hormonal :)

This time of year, hormones can be a problem. Her age is just barely on the cusp. I would try to cover her a little longer, or have a "sleep cage" in another room if the current one isn't quiet. The wing clips on Linnies last a long time because they have a longer time between hormone cycles...

Bird Supply of NH in Nashua NH has some Linnies for rehoming - no shipping

Bird Supply of NH is a lovely, family owned local petshop under 30 minutes from me. I sometimes sell them babies out of the nest that they lovingly handfeed. They have a cobalt male (5 years old) that I bred that they handfed they are rehoming due to an owner's move where they could not take him...
